I recently had a very enjoyable painting trip to Italy. I was up at sunrise to catch the early morning light in Piazza San Marco. During the day the weather was so hot that unlike England where the rain and cold stop you painting it was the lack of shade in Venice that stopped me. I managed to find a shaded spot in Venice only for the local shop to pull its curtain down over the arch so that I was in darkness and unable to see at times. All fun of the painting process!
